A man was threatened with a knife and robbed of his mobile phone and laptop in Luton on Wednesday (March 10).

The 25-year-old was walking along Russel Rise at about 2.45 pm talking to a member of his family about on his mobile.

The victim was approached by a black man and woman who pushed him against a wall and threatened him with a knife before taking the mobile telephone and the laptop from the victim’s bag. Both offenders walked away from the scene towards Russell Street.

DC Kaysie Conroy, of Luton’s Robbery Unit, is keen to trace anyone who saw the robbery and can help identify those responsible.

She said: “This robbery has happened in broad day light and we believe there were several pedestrians in the area while the robbery was taking place. These people could have vital information which may help identify those involved and I would urge them to contact the police.”
