Manager Richard Money saw his Luton Town side grind out a 1-0 win in Cumbria and said that they need to learn to do the same at Kenilworth Road.
A late Liam Hatch header clinched the points and the Hatters are now on the same points as AFC Wimbledon in the last play-off spot but sit in seventh because of inferior goal difference. However they do have two games in hand over the Dons.
The result also meant Luton have yet to concede a goal in their past six league fixtures on the road.
Money said: "We've been very professional away from home since I have been at the club.
"We've picked up some good results and have become strong and very difficult to play against.
"Now we've got to be like that at home and do it consistently.
"It's very pleasing to not have conceded on our travels and today was very important. That's four wins in five for us now and it's up to us to back it up with a good performance against Oxford on Tuesday."
"I thought we gave a thoroughly professional away performance at a real tough place to come.
"It didn't go unnoticed to us that Stevenage, Oxford, AFC Wimbledon and York have come here and only drawn and Mansfield have been beaten.
"I think it was just about the perfect performance. We won the battle in the first half and as the game went on we were hoping to take the lead at some point and we've done that.
"We had a few good chances in the first half and after missing a few you do think 'is it going to be our day?' but even so 0-0 wouldn't have been the worst result"
Keeper Mark Tyler made his return to action after injury and aside from him and Claude Gnakpa the side was unchanged from the one that lost at home to Ebbsfleet.
Money said."It may look harsh on Shane Gore who has waited for his chance but we thought it was the right decision."Mark is our number one goalkeeper and I thought he looked very reassuring behind our back four today, there's no doubt about that.
"We didn't make wholesale changes to the team after the Ebbsfleet defeat because we wanted to give the players a chance who had done so well at Gateshead and Histon to put that bad day at the office behind them.
"We knew we had to get back on track after last Saturday. Today's win sets us up nicely for next block of games."
Oxford United visit Kenilworth Road on Tuesday and Money said: "Tuesday is just another game. Does anyone think that Oxford will be any tougher than today?"
