Dan gets nod for changed England line-up

England, who were edged out by Wales in their opening international of the season at Broadstreet near Coventry last month, have been forced to reshuffle their side with five changes for the trip north because of work and family commitments.

Flanker Bob Turner of Old Leamingtonians misses out this week because his wife is expecting their child so Sidcup's Tom England will win his first cap.

England, who has played club rugby in Holland, is one of three new caps in the squad alongside replacements Ceri Thomas and Joshua Corcoran, who has played National League rugby for Hertford.

Full-back Guy Lavery, winger Adam Faulkner, centre Craig Orrick and hooker Peter Altham are all unavailable this weekend so Leigh Bialik, Gavin Jackson, Rhys Stickings and Brett Pruce have been brought into the starting line-up.

The English Deaf Rugby Union was formed in 2003 to give deaf and hard of hearing rugby players an opportunity to represent their country.

Players are qualified to play for the England Deaf team if they a combined average hearing loss of 25db or more in both ears. This roughly translates to a minimum hearing loss in both ears or a moderate hearing loss in one ear.
